Shipley Plateau House
Project Management and construction of a new flame zone rated (BAL-FZ) residential dwelling in the Blue Mountains, NSW. North-facing windows harness solar gain and offer connection to the surrounding bushland. Central to the home is a double-height recycled brick wall which provides both architectural feature and thermal performance. Polished concrete flooring on the lower level hosts in-slab hydronic heating throughout. Double-glazed windows and doors provide further insulation from the elements. Bushfire rated external shutters and non-combustable materials provide safety in an exposed site.
